Upon arrival in West Seattle, Lindsey and Michael Pearsall seamlessly fell into step with the area and their surrounding community. Like many young families, they carefully weighed their options about where to raise their kids and start their business, and decided to give laid-back West Seattle a chance. Seeing their two children thriving nestled between the snowy mountains of the Cascades and the diverse waters of the Puget Sound made them realize they were here to stay. Mom, Lindsey, and Dad, Michael, are most importantly people people; passionate about taking part in their community, staying engaged, and supporting fellow West Seattlites.

For Pearsall Properties, it’s deeper than real estate; they are a family of four who get involved. Their youngsters, Eleanor and Aiden, are avid readers, swimmers, skiers, and nature adventurers. They are PNW kids to the core! On top of loving the outdoors, Eleanor enjoys making up songs, and both love singing, taking after Michael who toured the country for years playing music as an independent artist. He’s now enjoying getting involved with the live music scene in Seattle, which has been known for its connections to music since the days of Hendrix and Nirvana.

Mom and Dad are aware of the power of mindfulness and like to harness it for themselves; Michael often uses yoga, and Lindsey meditation, to stay grounded. As parents, they want their kids to understand the value of taking the time to pause, breathe, and be grateful. On any day, you may see the four on a gratitude walk around their West Seattle neighborhood or the beaches of Alki. They use this time together to move their bodies and talk about what they’re thankful for. On any given night they’ll be found eating dinner together and during the day are likely to be moving - anything from family dance parties in the living room to jogs around the block to let the dog out. One thing they’re especially grateful for is the chance to live in such a beautiful part of the world, made up of gorgeous natural scenery and a community of people who share their affinity for connection.

Long before the Pearsalls settled in West Seattle and started their business, Lindsey caught the real estate bug. She dipped a toe into the world of real estate by turning eye-sore properties into dream homes up and down the East coast. She felt the difference she was making in neighborhoods by improving properties in Virginia, then Washington D.C., and finally in Nashville with Michael. After several investment properties in Nashville, they made the big cross-country move out West with the initial plan to start in Seattle and then move down to San Diego to get a feel for California, but lucky for us they fell in love with their first stop.

To stay connected with other West Seattlites they put on fundraising concerts in local cafes, organize wine nights and a monthly supper club for nearby parents, and subsequent family and friends pool days at their home. Devoting intentional time to their community is a must, as Lindsey and Michael deeply believe that community events and togetherness create stronger, safer families and homes, of which everyone reaps the benefits. For the Pearsalls, it’s important to acknowledge all of the big changes Seattle has experienced in the last 20 years. They understand how crucial and life-changing it is for locals to build generational wealth via real estate and take advantage of Seattle’s opportunities.

Keenly aware of their impact on the world around them, staying local and environmentally minded is something that the Pearsalls have taken very seriously. They know that a well-supported environment isn't just keeping the temperate rainforest of the PNW peninsula thriving, it’s exactly what supports each person living in, near, and around this wellness goldmine. Giving back is high on their list of priorities; some of the charities and nonprofits they’ve contributed to this winter through fund-raising efforts and donations are the West Seattle Food Bank, Westside Baby, and the Seattle Humane Society.

So instead of sticking with the transactional narrative real estate generally applies itself to, they break the mold by empowering sellers and buyers with local support. With their work Lindsey and Michael are most importantly connecting with West Seattle families who share their best interests; they refuse to see clients simply as a sale. Primarily, the Pearsalls think of their clients first and foremost as friends who want a helping hand.

On the grand scale, staying close to their community means investing their time and money locally. They accomplish this by helping Seattleites and transplants find homes that suit them with Pearsall Properties, connecting local mothers and strengthening bonds, and choosing to shop locally in their neighborhood and nearby West Seattle boutiques instead of just Amazon. On the small scale, it means the Pearsalls want to get to know their clients on a personal level and they realize that the same open communication and trust we find in friendships is also what makes a real estate agent a great fit.

Lindsey and Michael stand by the belief that client success is achieved when a client feels completely seen and heard throughout the process of purchasing or selling a home. They realize how important client-agent mutual trust is and understand that we are all part of the same wonderful community, and understand that everyone’s needs are different. You’ll never see the Pearsalls pushing clients to make a decision, prodding for financial information, or going against what’s best for a client. So you want to move slowly? The speedometer takes a major dip. Or maybe it’s time to speed the process up because your baby is due soon? They know what that's like too and understand the pressure you're under, queue quick turnaround times, and daily check-in calls. It's all about you.
